Each baptism is a powerful new testimony of God's faithfulness and provision. It is also an open opportunity to share the life-changing message of the gospel.

Baptism is an important step of obedience in the life of every believer. Although, getting baptized is not the source of our salvation, it is very much the public declaration of our commitment to follow Jesus and to live in alignment with His word. Baptism symbolizes the forgiveness of our sins and being buried and rose again in our new life in Christ. Baptism is something to be celebrated and it is a very special moment in a believer’s walk with Christ.

Baptism is the public declaration of an inward spiritual transformation that has occurred when we put our faith in Jesus Christ as our very own Savior and Lord. Baptism does not save us but it testifies to the world that we have already been saved by grace through our faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9). While baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command that follows the example of Christ and demonstrates our obedience to Christ.

In the New Testament, we find that parents brought their children to Jesus. He held them, he prayed for them, and he told His disciples to welcome them. If you were baptized as a child, before you made the INDEPENDENT choice to follow Jesus, your parents intended that you would eventually choose to follow Jesus for yourself. Just to make it clear, your baptism as an adult does not dismiss the baptism you received as a child. In fact, it can be viewed as the fulfillment of your parents’ intentions. Also, the word of God tells us to do our "first works" over again. I believe we can do those things over to start a new chapter with the Lord on a deeper level.
